Question 916415: I need to write a two column proof and prove that the diagonals of a rectangle have equal lengths. The given is FGHI is a rectangle. I do not know how many steps it involves or even where to begin. Is there a step process to figure this out?

FGHI is a rectangle
In triangle FGH & triangle IHG
FG is congruent to HI ( opposite sides of rectangle)
Angle FGH is = angle IHG = right angle ( angles of a rectangle)
Side GH is common side
There fore triangle FGH is congruent to triangle IHG by (S A S test)
Therefore FH = IG
Hence proved
