Question 875314: I am struggling with this proof problem.I could really use some assistance. The question is
Given: Triangle DGF is isosceles with base DF, angle EGD =~EGF
Prove: EG bisects angle DEF
I have so far
1.angle EGD is = angle EGF
2. Triangle DEG is congruent to triangle FEG
I know I did not get very far, any help would be great. Thank you!
Answer by KMST(5328) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Now you invoke CPCTC (Corresponding Parts of Congruent Triangles are Congruent),
so say that "angle EGD is congruent to angle EGF by CPCTC".
If in your class they do not use "CPCTC" as a way to abbreviate that theorem, maybe you would have to write it differently, but here in the US, we like to abbreviate everything.
