Question 71698: The Air Force Acedmy Cadet Chapel has 17 spires that point to the sky. Each spire is an isoscelea triangle with a 40 degrees vertex angle. Find the measures of the base angles.
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Each triangle has angles whose sum is 180 degrees.
If the vertex angle is 40 degrees, that leaves 140 degrees for the other two.
If the triangle is isosceles the base angles are equal.
So 2x=140 and each angle is 70 degrees.
