Question 63265: i dont know where this question should be posted Q. A certain isotope has a decay rate of-1.5% find its half life
thank you

Answer by uma(370)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Given that the decay rate = 1.5%
So half life = ln(2)/0.015
= 0.6932/0.015
= 46.2
Thus the isotope has a half life of 46.2 yrs
which means that the isotope would reduce to half its initial value in 46.2 yrs with the decay rate being 1.5%

Good Luck!!!
