You don't know what proof is? Is that what you were saying? Proof is when you can "prove" that the equation is true. Do u get it? For ex, 3+x=8. Then you subtract the 3 on each side and you will get x=5. BUT, THE PROOF IS WHEN YOU SUBSTITUTE THE X WITH THE ANSWER AND SOLVE THE EQUATION. In here, x=5. So:
You would do 3 + 5 = 8. Does that equal on both sides? Let's check. 3 + 5 is 8.
8=8. THIS is proof.
