Since angle 1 and angle 2 are equal, name each angle "x." The sum of angle 1 and angle 2 is 2x, which is equal to 180 degrees (since BD is a straight line). Hence 2x = 180, x = 90, so the angles are right angles. This implies that AC and BD are perpendicular.

Use this to write out your proof.
