Answer by htmentor(1343)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
For a parallelogram, we know that the sum of angles A and B must be equal to 180 degrees.
So we have A + B = 180 (1)
And the ratio of angle A to angle B is 2/7 -> A/B = 2/7, or B = (7/2)*A
Eliminating B in (1) gives A + (7/2)*A = 180 -> A = (2/9)*180 = 40 degrees.

Answer by sudhanshu_kmr(1152)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

sum of angles = 180
=> 2x + 7x =180
=> 9x = 180
=> x = 180/9 = 20

so, angle A = 2*20 = 40
