Sherlock Holmes did not believe the suspect and wanted to prove he was not deaf. Holmes stood behind the suspect and shouted, �Surprise!� The startled suspect jumped just a little. Use the indirect proof to prove Holmes was correct. Start by assuming the suspect is deaf."
