I will do my best to help you. I am not an expert in advanced geometry, but I do have a book we can reference to get through your questions. I have been using an online collaboration tool (basically an online whiteboard that we can access at either the same or different times) and if you are unable to get help elsewhere, then it is definitely worth giving a shot.

proofs are logic and reasoning
proofs start with what you know and reason to something you didn't know.
we often start with definitions
based on the information we know and the definition we can assume other info.sometimes it is better to start with the thing to be proven and work backwards.
