figure out how to isolate to get those solutions. Thanks again.

1 - 2sin(t) + sin^2(t) = 3cos^2(t)
1 - 2sin(t) + sin^2(t) = 3(1 - sin^2(t))
1 - 2sin(t) + sin^2(t) = 3 - 3sin^2(t)
4sin^2(t) - 2sin(t) - 2 = 0
2sin^2(t) - sin(t) - 1 = 0
(2sin(t) + 1)(sin(t) - 1) = 0
2sin(t) + 1 = 0 and sin(t) - 1 = 0
sin(t) = -1/2 and sin(t) = 1
