In the figure, RT = RS, PQ // RS

Prove: PQ = PT
RT=RS Given. So RTS is an isoscles triangle.
therefore angle T = angle S ( Isoscles triangle.)........................(1)
PQ // RS Given
angle TQP = angle TSR ( corresponding angles)...........................(2)
From (1) & (2) angle T = angle TQP ( Transitivity)
Therefore PQ = PT ( Isoscles triangle theorem)
