I need help with knowing when to use ASA,AAS, and SAS.Can you please help. I asked my teacher and still don't get it.
There are 5 proof-methods when proving triangles congruent. These are:
AAS - Two triangles can be proven congruent if 2 consecutive angles, followed by a side, on one, can be proven congruent to 2
consecutive angles, followed by a side, on the other
ASA - Congruence can be proven if congruent sides are located between 2 congruent angles on both
SSS - Self-explanatory, or when 3 sides of one triangle are proven congruent to 3 sides of the other triangle
SAS - Congruence can be proven if 2 congruent angles are located between 2 congruent sides on each triangle
HL - Two triangles are congruent if they are right triangles and one triangle's hypotenuse, and one of its leg is proven to be
congruent to the other triangle's hypotenuse, and corresponding leg
YOU CANNOT CURSE, or THERE is NO DONKEY method. Look this up, and you'll know what I'm referring to!!
I'm sure that there are MANY sites with info. on methods to prove triangles congruent.
