Question 55942: The Majik car rental company charges a flat fee of $21 per day and a mileage charge of $0.18 per mile. John rented an SUV for 6 days and he covered m miles during this period. Express the total charge as a function of m.
I started with, f(m)=0.18*m+21*6, I am not sure where to go after that. Unless I can set the problem equal to 0 and solve for m.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Question 56078: This is a question on inverse functions.
Let y=f(x)=5x^3+8
The question wants the answer in the form y= cube root a(x)+b. where a and b are coefficients. I have come up with 1/5 for coeffcient a and I am thinking -(8/5) for coefficient b, but it does not seem to work.

Question 56925: I honestly have no idea how to answer this problem. It's not from a book, my teacher made it up.
f(x)=x+4
find (f(x))^2
I wrote down (x+4)^2 which equals x^2+16 just to have an answer. I'd rather have an example problem like this one so I could learn from that instead of just having a correct answer. Thank you!
