Question 110633: This is an absolute value function word problem. I do not need help with the graphing part. Here is the problem:
A car's speedometer reads 60 miles per hour. The error (E) in this measurement is E=a60 where (a) is the actual speed. Graph the function. For what value(s) of (a) will (E) be 2.5 miles per hour?
Again, I already know how to graph it. I do not understand how to figure out the value(s) of (a) that make (E) equal 2.5 miles per hour. Can you help me, please? Thank you so much. :)
