Question 998466: f(x)=1/x^2+3
g(x)= sqrt x^2-2x
Find f(-x/2) and g(x+7)
Write without parenthesis , simplify as much as possible.
So i'm alittle confused, does this problem mean that both functions are dependent on each other, can i just plug in x and solve for them individually or am i solving for both together? please point me in the right direction not sure how to approach this/solve this.
Answer by josgarithmetic(39617) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You simply listed two functions, both depend on variable, x. What is the exact word-for-word problem description and question as given in your document or textbook? Just listing the functions does not show that they depend on each other. Also, use clarifying grouping symbols to clearly state your functions.

I saw your note.
The functions are not expected to depend on each other. Each only depends on x. Just substitute the requested inputs and simplify each function's results. If no other groupings within each function is indicated, then f(x) will follow this way:
-
---EXACTLY as you gave
Let the input be .
