Question 998140: How do I find the zeros of the function f(x)=square root of 8x-1
Answer by fractalier(6550) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The zeroes of a function are found where it crosses the x-axis. At that point, y = f(x) = 0.
Thus
sqrt(8x-1)=0 ==> square both sides
8x-1 = 0
8x = 1
x = 1/8
