Question 994027: A company produces a product for which they variable cost is $12.30 per unit and the fixed costs are $98,000. The product sells for $17.98. Let x be the number of units produced. Write the total cost C as a function of the units produced.
What I have is C(x)=12.30x + 17.98
I can't help but feel it's wrong, is it?

Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
C=98000+12.30x
The fixed costs have to be in the equation, then the variable cost of 12.30 per unit is added to the fixed cost.
