Question 988801: Domain & range of 9/x
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Domain: Set of all real numbers BUT x cannot equal 0. This is to avoid division by zero errors.
Range: Set of all real numbers BUT y cannot equal 0. Why not? Because there is no way to get 9/x equal to 0. The denominator can't be 0. And 9 is always 9. So again, 9/x = 0 has no solutions.
