If it is (x-2)/3, all x s will work. No x will give an impossible value. The range will be infinite as well, for as x goes to infinity, the 2 becomes unimportant and so does the division by 3.
If it is x^(-2/3), that is 1/x^(2/3)
Here you can take the cube root of any x, so the domain is all reals except 0, since one would be dividing by zero.
The range is all y>0. As x gets larger y gets larger but less quickly. As x approaches 0, y approaches 0 although more slowly.
