f(x)=3x-10 and g(x)=3x+7
(a) g(-1) (b) f(1)-g(2)
g(x)=3x+7
replace x by -1
g(-1)= 3*-1 + 7
=-3+7
= 4
now f(x) = 3x-10
f(1) = 3*1 -10
=3-7
=-4
again,
g(2)= 3*2 + 7
=6 +7
=13
f(1) - g(2)
= -4 -13 substituting the values of f(1) and g(2) from above
= -17
