Question 914425: Is the following relation a function?
(( 0.3,0.6), (0.4,0.8), (0.3,0.7), (0.5,0.5))?

No it is not because x = 0.3 is mapped to BOTH y = 0.6 AND y = 0.7 at the same time.

The rule with function is that any input needs to have EXACTLY ONE output.

So again, this relation is not a function.
