Question 9106: my problem is g(x)=sq. rt. of x -1. i have four numbers for x and they are 0,1,4,9. i dont know how to solve because of the square root. i can do these kinds of problems without square roots, but that is really throwing me off. so just explain what to do with that and i can finish it. thanks
Answer by longjonsilver(2297) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
if you have g(x) = or should the square root be around (x-1)? and all you need to do is put the x-values into the equation, then...
g(0) =
g(0) = 0-1
g(0) = -1
g(1) =
g(1) = 1-1
g(1) = 0
g(4) =
g(4) = 2-1
g(4) = 1
you do the last one.
