Question 855936: I need helping finding the domain of (f-g)(x) when f(x)=6x-3 and g(x)=3x-7
Answer by KMST(5328) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The domain is all the real numbers.
Both functions are linear functions.
The domain of a polynomial (lineal, quadratic, or of whatever degree) is always all the real numbers.
The difference, sum, product, or compound function made of two such functions will always have all the real numbers as its domain.
The only trouble could start when you put one of those polynomial functions in a place where zeros or negative numbers are not allowed, like as a denominator or inside a square root.
