Here the given equation is,
-3x + 4y = 11
Here you are asked to rewrite the equation as a function of 'x'.
For that shift all the terms except the y terms to the other side and then retain only y in the left side as follows....
-3x + 4y = 11
Add 3x to both sides of the equation...
==> -3x + 4y +3x = 11 + 3x
==> 4y = 11 + 3x
Now divide both sides by 4
==> 4y/4= ( 11 + 3x)/4
==> y = 11/4 +3x/4
==> y =(11/4) + (3/4)x
