Question 81514: How to find a domain and range?
Answer by rapaljer(4671)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Finding the domain and range seems to be difficult for students in algebra classes. This is such a broad question, it will take a lesson plan to answer it. First, you would have to be given either an equation involving the variables of x and y, or you would have to be given a graph. In either case, the DOMAIN is the set of all x values, and RANGE is the set of all y values.

I think I have a lesson plan for this topic "Domain and Range" in algebra.com, but just in case I do not, you can always find it on my website by clicking on my tutor name "rapaljer" anywhere in algebra.com. Next, look for "Math in Living Color," then "College Algebra," then "Chapter 2," and finally select "Functions, Domain, and Range." This will have a full-color explanation with examples and detailed solutions that you may find helpful.
