Determine the average rate of change for the function f(x)=x^2+2x from 5 to 9 using f(b)-f(a)/b-a.
--------------
f(x)=x^2+2x
Find f(9) by subbing 9 for each x
Do the same for f(5)
Subtract to get f(9) - f(5)
Divide by (9-5) = 4
