QUESTION:

If f(x)=4x-3, find the following f(-1

ANSWER:

f(x)=4x-3

Here you are asked to find out the value of f(-1)

For that replace x by -1 in the given function.

==> f(-1)= 4 (-1) -3

==> f(-1) = -4 - 3

==> f(-1) = -7

To find the vlue of f(2), f(3), f(-2) etc...just replace x by 2, 3, -2 etc in the given function..

Hope you found the explanation useful

Regards.
