What's the average rate of change for the sqrt 5x+7 between f(a) =16 & f(b)=25
============
Do you mean ?
If so, find a and b
----------

Square both sides
5a+7 = 256
a = 249/5
----------------

Square both sides
5b+7 = 625
b = 618/5
------------
b - a = 369/5
---------
f(b) - f(a) = 9
Avg rate = (369/5)/9
= 41/5
