replace x with 1, find y
y = (1-1)^2 + 1
y = 0 + 1
y = 1
then
replace x with 2 and find y
y = (2-1)^2 + 1
y = (-1)^2
y = 1 + 1

y = (0-1)^2 + 1
y = (-1)^2 + 1
y = 1 + 1

replace x with -1
y = (-1-1)^2 + 1
