Question 76319: given f(x)= 4x/x+2, find f-1(x) (inverse of function x)
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f(x)= 4x/x+2, find f-1(x)
---------
Interchange x and y to get the inverse.
x= y/y+2
Solve for "y":
yx+2x=y
yx-y=-2x
y(x-1)=-2x
y=-2x/(x-1)
That is the inverse.
