Question 74311: could you please help me to solve this problem..it is from a question on a hand out.
find the inverse of f(x) = 3x+1 where f: R - R
i figured y=3x+1 y-1=3x and broke it down with an swer of x=y-1/3.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You just need to switch the x's and y's
x=%281%2F3%29y-1%2F3(you forgot the 1/3 in front of the y)
y=%281%2F3%29x-1%2F3And there's your inverse function
