Question 712567: I am having problems figuring out how to solve a problem.
Find the requested value.
f(x)=2x^2 -1, g(x) = x+1 find f(4) -g(4)

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the requested value.
f(x)=2x^2 -1, g(x) = x+1 find f(4) -g(4)
------
f(4) = 2*4^2-1 = 2*16-1 = 31
---
g(4) = 4+1 = 5
-------
f(4) - g(4) = 31-5 = 26
