Question 711798: suppose f is a Function that to each positive number v, assigns the amount of time it takes a car, going v miles, to go 120 miles. Is F an increasing function a decreasing function or neither? Explain.
This is confusing to me, there are several problems like this. Can anyone explain? Thank you :)

Are you sure that v isn't miles PER HOUR? I'm capslocking this for emphasis.
If v is miles per hour (and not just miles), then the faster you go, the shorter amount of time it will take to get there.
So as v goes up, t goes down.
This means that the function is decreasing because of this inverse relationship.
