Please explain what a piecewise function is:
f(x) = {x - 1, if x < -2
{x2, if -2 ≤ x ≤ 1
{1, if x > 1
IF A FUNCTION IS DEFINED AS GIVEN ABOVE ..
THAT IS THE DOMAIN ( VALUES OF X) IS SPLIT AND Y IS
DEFINED DIFFERENTLY FOR DIFFERENT INTERVALS OF DOMAIN WE SAY
THE FUNCTION IS DEFINED PIECE WISE.HERE
IF X< -2 , WE SHOULD USE THE FORMULA X-1 TO GET F(X)
THIS FORMULA DOES NOT HOLD AND WE HAVE TO USE X^2 IF X LIES
BETWEEN -2 AND 1 INCLUDING -2 AND 1....ETC
