f(x)= 1 devided by
(3x+1)^5

If you try to solve for x when f(x)=1, then you will have your answer.
f(x)=(3x+1)^5=1
What kind of number raised to any nonzero, non-one power give 1 as a result?

b^5=1, what must be b?
1^5=1, 1^-5=1, 1^30=1.....

If (3x+1)^5=1, then 3x+1=1.

ANOTHER ATTEMPT TO EXPLAIN:
The question seems to be, for f(x)=(3x+1)^5, what is x if . Solve for x.
Take the root 5 of both sides,

Now subtract 1 from both sides,

So what is x?
