Question 70617: Please help me solve the following:
The distance traveled by a ball that is pushed down a ramp is given by s(t) =2tsquared + t, where t is the time in seconds after the ball is released and s(t) is measured in feet. Evaluate the average volocity of the ball for each of the following time intervals.
a) [3,5] b) [3,4] c) [3,3.5] d)[3,3.01]

Please help me solve the following:
The distance traveled by a ball that is pushed down a ramp is given by s(t) =2tsquared + t, where t is the time in seconds after the ball is released and s(t) is measured in feet. Evaluate the average volocity of the ball for each of the following time intervals.
a) [3,5] b) [3,4] c) [3,3.5] d)[3,3.01]
FIND S(T1,T2)= S(T2)-S(T1) FOR EACH INTERVAL TO GET THE DISTANCE TRAVELED IN
EACH INTERVAL.......FROM THE GIVEN EQN.
S(T)=2T^2+T
A)[3,5]......T1=3...T2=5
S(T2)=2*(5^2)+5=2*25+5=55
S(T1)=2*(3^2)+3=2*9+3=21
HENCE
S(3,5)=55-21=34
I THINK YOU CAN DO THE REST IN A SIMILAR WAY
