Hi mam,
I'm not sure what function is provided for the question, but if you a function such as:
y = 2x - 2, substitute x with 3, so:
y = 2*3 - 2
y = 4
Or if you have:
f(x) = 2x - 2, also substitute x with 3, so:
f(3) = 2*3 - 2
f(3) = 4
