when x = -6, we're focusing on the middle expression 4x+5 since g(x) = 4x+5 if -6 <= x < 1

g(x) = 4x+5

g(-6) = 4(-6)+5

g(-6) = -24+5

g(-6) = -19

-------------------------------------------------------

When x = 6, we now move to the last piece 1/2x^2 since g(x) = 1/2x^2 if x >= 1

g(x) = 1/2x^2

g(6) = 1/2*(6)^2

g(6) = 1/2*(36)

g(6) = 18

Use this same technique to do parts C and D
