Question 701617: Determine "d" so that the slope of CD is undefined if C and D are the points (d,3) and (-5,5) respectively.
I realize to have an undefined slope I need a number with 0 as the denominator but am having a hard time setting it up. I know I need to use m = y2-y1/x2-x1 so I have 5-3/-5-d put to turn it into an equation where I can cross multiply I'm stuck. So I'm stuck at 2/-5-d=x/0 but can I just put any number over 0 rather than x?
