Question 67960: How do I rewrite this equation as a function of x.
-3x + 4y = 11
Answer by adamchapman(301) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-3x + 4y = 11
multiply both sides by -1 to make the "3x" term positive
3x - 4y = -11
add 4y to both sides
3x = 4y - 11
divide both sides by 3:
x = (4y - 11)/3
Just like that!
I hope this helps,
Adam
