answer a: subtract 9 from both sides then you will have -2x<2then you divide -2 from both sides because you do the opposites of multiplying and then you will get x=-1
On a number line you just simply place zero in the middle and 2 at it's point because after you plug -1 in for x you get 2>2 and you just put a filled in dot in the the 2 place.
ansewr b:same as A. subtract 2x from both sides to give you -1x-6<5 then you add 6 to both sides to give you -1x<11 divide by -1 to give you x=-11 then you just plug in -11 for x to give you -17<27 and then you graph the same as A
