the pressure,p, on a diver in the water varies directly as the depth,d. if the pressure is 6 lb/sq.in. when the depth is 12 feet, what is the pressure when the depth is 16 ft?
------------------------
p=kd
Need find "k".
6=k12
k=1/2
EQUATION:
p=(1/2)d
If the depth is 16 ft,
p=(1/2)(16)=8 lb/sq.in
