Question 650142: If f(x)=(x+1)/(x-1) find f of f and domain/ range
Answer by sheldonbbtrocks(115) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Alright, some other tutor correct me in I am wrong, but I believe I can do this:
To find f(f) we replace f (x+1) with all of the x's in the f (x+1) equation:
x+1+1
we get x+2 is your f(f)
Do get the domain, we set the denominator of the fraction to 0
[-1]+1=0
The domain in interval notation is (-infinity,-1) union (-1, infinity)
The range, you set the numberator to 0
[1]-1=0
The range in interval notation is (-infinity,1) union (1, infinity)
Hope this helps!

P.S. No, I got your message and I got what you are saying.
