Answer by lwsshak3(11628)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Express as a single logarithm: 3log5(x)-5[log5(y)+2log5(z)]
**
all terms must be of the same base. In this case all terms are of base 5.
coefficient in front of log is an exponent.
subtraction of logs means division of numbers
addition of logs means multiplication of numbers
..
3log5(x)-5[log5(y)+2log5(z)]=log5[(x^3)/(yz^2)^5]
Solution is revised to correct following error in the last term:
It should read (yz^2)^5 instead of (y+z^2)^5 as in the earlier solution
