Question 639319: State f(x) and g(x) for which f(x)*g(x)=2x^2+11x-6. How do you go about doing this problem? Thank you!
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Hint:
Factor 2x^2+11x-6
You do this by multiplying 2 and -6 to get -12. Then you find two numbers that multiply to -12 and add to 11. These two numbers are 12 and -1
So
2x^2+11x-6
2x^2+12x-x-6
Now factor by grouping
