Let f(x)= 2x-3 and g(x)= x^2+2x find the following expressions

f(1) substitute 1 in for x in f(x) and simplify.
f(1)=2(1)-3
f(1)=2-3

:
g(-2) substitute -2 in for x in g(x) and simplify.

g(-2)=4-4

:
f(3a) substitute 3a in for x in f(x) and simplify.
f(3a)=2(3a)-3

:
f(3)+g(4) substitute 3 in for x in f(x) and 4 in for x in g(x) and add them together.
