The lenght of a human hair grows by aprrpoximately 1.3cm per monthe. A young girsl has a ponytail 20 cm long and wants a ponytail much longer.
a. Write a linear funciton L so that L(x) gives the length of the ponytail after 6 months.
b. Determine the lenght of her ponytail after six months.
c. Uste this function to determine how many months it will take her to have a pontail that is 50 cm. long.

the length equals the monthly growth plus the starting length

a. L(x) = 1.3x + 20

b. L(6) = 1.3 * 6 + 20 = 27.8

c. 50 = 1.3x + 20 ___ 30 = 1.3 x ___ 30 / 1.3 = x
