Question 57099: Is (x-2) a factor of 3x^4+6x^3-30x^2+16x-8? Why or Why not?
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Yes because f(2)=0.
In other words, if you substitute x=2 for x
the polynomial will equal zero. By the
Remainder Theorem you then know that x-2 is
a factor of the polynomial.
