You mistyped this, so I'm picking a + sign and changing it to an = sign. If I picked the wrong one let me know.
Rewrite each equation as a function of x.
-3x+4y=11
Solve this for y, so that x is the only variable on the right:
+3x-3x+4y=3x+11
4y=3x+11
4y/4=3x/4+11/4
y=(3/4)x+11/4
This can also now be written as:
f(x)=(3/4)x+11/4
