given f(x)=5x to the second power-3x +1, find f(-2)
f(x)=5x^2-3x+1
f(x)=5(-2)^2-3(-2)+1 [Substitute (-2) for (x)]
f(x)=(5)(4)+6+1 [Simplify]
f(x) = 20 +6 + 1 = 27
